DOCTOR WHO

Immortals, Eternals, Gods and Deities

| Overview |

Within the lore of Doctor Who, there are numerous beings classified as Immortals, Eternals, Gods, and Deities—immense entities that exist beyond the constraints of time and space. These beings are typically depicted as possessing vast, godlike powers, allowing them to manipulate reality, shape entire universes, and transcend the limitations of mortal life. While they may vary in their motivations, most of these entities are portrayed as indifferent to the struggles of lesser beings, often engaging in elaborate games or pursuing their own desires with little regard for the consequences.

Their existence is defined by their immortality, and they are not bound by the usual rules of life, death, or time. Some, like the Toymaker, use their intellect and cosmic abilities to entrap others in complex, often cruel, games, toying with their victims for their amusement. Others, such as the Guardians, represent broader concepts like chaos, order, or balance, acting as forces that shape the universe according to their will. These beings are not fixed in a single form or role; they are capable of re-shaping themselves to suit their ever-evolving nature, ensuring their presence remains elusive and their power ever-constant throughout the Doctor Who universe.
